Job summary

NYP Nanyang Polytechnic seeks experienced game developers and engineers to join the Game Development & Technology academic team in Singapore. You will design and deliver curricula in game programming and emerging tech, mentor students, and drive innovation in applied projects.

You will coordinate courses, supervise projects, and collaborate with industry partners to keep teaching aligned with industry trends and learner employability. A portfolio and real-time engine proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in game design, level or systems design, game production, or a related role.
• Proficiency with a major real-time engine (Unity/Unreal) for prototyping and design implementation.
• A portfolio of shipped titles or project work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring or curriculum development is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum for diploma/specialist courses in game design and related areas.
• Coach and mentor multidisciplinary student teams through full development lifecycle.
• Model studio production practices including milestone planning, Agile/Scrum and team leadership.
• Facilitate student exchanges, immersion programmes and study trips (virtual and in-person).
• Engage in outreach activities such as open houses, competitions, game jams and industry engagements.
• Develop high-quality digital and online learning content to support blended and self-paced learning.
• Take on academic administrative tasks including course coordination and assessment planning.
• Collaborate with educators and industry partners to improve teaching practice and curriculum design.
• Stay current with industry trends to ensure learner employability.
