Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is hiring for an FX Trading Systems Developer to rebuild a market-leading multi-dealer FX trading platform. The role focuses on low-latency, fault-tolerant distributed systems in a cloud-native environment using Java/Spring, Kafka, Solace, and both SQL/NoSQL databases.

You will lead architecture discussions, contribute to performance tuning, and collaborate across teams to deliver robust, scalable backend solutions in a fast-paced financial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or post-graduate degree in Computer Engineering or a relevant field is desirable.
• Strong core Java + Spring is required; React knowledge is a plus.
• Finance degree or certifications (FRM/CFA/PRM, etc.) are considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide architecture and implementation of fault-tolerant, scalable distributed backend systems powering critical financial applications.
• Design and develop high-performance, low-latency cloud-native backend solutions using Java and Spring.
• Perform performance tuning of application code to optimize system responsiveness and efficiency.
• Participate in architecture discussions and SDLC processes, ensuring clean code with robust test coverage.
