Job summary

Pinpoint Asia is seeking a Java Developer to design and build low-latency Java applications for post-trade processes within a global investment bank. You will optimize GC, threading, memory allocation, and network I/O to support real-time services handling high message and transaction volumes.

Work closely with traders, quants, and electronic trading teams to deliver performance-critical features, analyze latency bottlenecks, and ensure production-ready, fault-tolerant systems.

Qualifications

• Proven professional Java development experience (Java 8+).
• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud deployments.
• Deep understanding of JVM tuning, GC, and memory management.
• Strong concurrency concepts and lock-free/low-lock designs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop low-latency Java applications for post-trade processes.
• Optimize performance across GC, threading, memory, and network I/O.
• Build real-time services handling high message/transaction volumes.
• Collaborate with traders and quant teams on performance-critical features.
• Analyze and resolve latency bottlenecks across app/JVM/OS layers.
• Ensure systems are resilient, fault-tolerant, production-ready.
• Participate in production support for latency-sensitive systems.
