Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking a Senior/Lead Software Engineer to work on technically challenging, modern product-like projects in the public sector. You will collaborate across frontend and backend teams using Next.js, React.js, CSS, JavaScript, and Node.js to deliver reliable software and resilient systems.

You will partner with Product Managers and Designers, shape architecture, and mentor engineers while ensuring security, quality, and timely delivery in a flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in modern full-stack web applications with frontend and backend engineering.
• Ability to guide design reviews, architecture, and testing to ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to prioritise roadmaps for delivering towards product vision and goals.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to shape the engineering squad’s goals.
• Design and evolve architectures for reliability, resilience, and cybersecurity.
• Balance new features with technical sustainability, maintainability, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery and monitor health, reliability, and tech debt.
• Mentor engineers and support recruitment for the product team as needed.
