Job summary

The Future of Finance Institute (FFI) invites a senior full-stack software engineer to help build the digital capabilities that support its mission in Singapore. You will work with financial institutions, technology firms and researchers to design and develop platforms, services and tools that translate new technologies into practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of full-stack development experience with ability to work independently in cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Angular and React for frontend development of fintech applications.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET Core.
• Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases and caching systems.
• Proven track record delivering secure internet-facing applications in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications supporting FFI programmes and industry initiatives.
• Build platforms, services and APIs for financial institutions to deploy new capabilities.
• Develop capabilities for industry development and application of new technologies.
• Design and implement secure backend services, data platforms and system integrations.
• Collaborate across frontend, backend, cloud and data environments to deliver reliable software.
• Work with financial institutions, tech firms and researchers to translate challenges into tech solutions.
• Shape technical architecture, engineering practices and technology choices for FFI's capabilities.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and best practices in software engineering.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot, and improve performance, security and reliability.
