Job summary

OPTIMUM SOLUTIONS (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Full Stack Programmer to join their automation team, building scalable applications and workflows that help internal engineering teams streamline complex processes. The role is a 12-month contract.

Candidates should have 7+ years of software development, strong backend experience in Python/Java/Go/Node.js, and frontend exposure with ReactJS or NextJS.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience, including large-scale systems.
• Backend proficiency in Python, Java, Go, PHP or Node.js; Python preferred.
• Frontend exposure with ReactJS or NextJS is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS and REST APIs.
• Good knowledge of databases and performance trade-offs.
• Experience leading technical projects or major engineering initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software testing, code quality, deployment, monitoring and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and integrate applications and automation solutions for internal engineering teams.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business problems and develop effective technical solutions.
• Develop scalable, high-quality backend and frontend applications across technologies.
• Architect efficient systems focusing on databases, performance and scalability.
• Write clean, reliable and maintainable code with emphasis on engineering excellence.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, monitoring and optimisation to improve quality and reliability.
• Identify and resolve performance issues and technical debt.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects from design through delivery.
• Work across projects and technologies, adapting to new technical areas.
