Job summary

neutron is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join a project team delivering a modern intranet platform for a government tax agency. You will work with product managers, backend engineers, and UX designers to build internal tools that streamline tax administration workflows used by thousands of public officers daily.

You will deliver responsive web applications with React and TypeScript, ensure accessibility, and contribute to a shared component library, while participating in design-system-driven

Qualifications

• 6+ years of frontend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React (hooks).
• Solid HTML/CSS and responsive design knowledge.
• Experience consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Vite or Webpack, ESLint, Git.
• Experience with state management libraries (Zustand/Redux).

• Translate UX wireframes and design specs into clean, accessible UI components.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and define data contracts.

About you

• Familiarity with modern tooling: Vite or Webpack, ESLint, Git
• Ability to write maintainable, well-tested code
• Experience with state management libraries (Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or similar)
• Exposure to design systems or component libraries (e.g. Ant Design, MUI)
• Prior work on internal tooling, enterprise systems, or government/public sector projects
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
