Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge frontier GenAI solutions with production environments for customers in Asia-Pacific.

You will code, integrate, and jointly ship bespoke agentic AI systems directly within customer environments, enabling enterprise readiness and measurable ROI.

Strong cloud experience (GCP), Python development, and English communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience with software development using Python or related coding languages.
• Experience taking production-grade AI solutions from conception to launch for customers.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience building pipelines for structured and unstructured data using vector databases and RAG-like architectures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a developer for complex AI applications, transitioning from rapid prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows that drive measurable ROI.
• Architect and code the connective tissue between Googles AI products and customers live infrastructure, including APIs, data silos, and security perimeters as part of an expert team.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure agentic systems meet accuracy, safety, and latency requirements.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and friction points in Googles AI stack, converting them into reusable modules or feature requests for engineering teams.
• Collaborate with customer engineering teams to instill Google-grade development practices and translate concepts to non-technical and Mandarin-speaking audiences.

• Experience leading technical discovery sessions.
• Knowledge of Large Language Model (LLM)-native metrics (e.g., tokens/sec, cost-per-request) and techniques for optimizing state management and granular tracing.

As a Generative AI (GenAI) Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Google Cloud, you will be an embedded builder who bridges the gap between frontier Artificial Intelligence (AI) products and production-grade reality within customers.
