Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer in Singapore (Kallang) to support teams that design, build and deliver innovative power electronics products. You will help maintain quality engineering programs and drive improvements across the organization.

This role involves cross-functional collaboration on power platform development from concept to prototype, system modeling, and digital control. Strong analytical skills and hands-on debugging will help meet stringent specs, schedules, and costs.

Qualifications

• + Master or above in power electronics or electrical, automation.
• + 5 years’ experience for Master degree; 2 years for PhD in high power digital control and simulation (SST, AIDC, EV fast charger).
• + Strong knowledge of power-electronics topologies and modeling/simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop power platform from concept to prototype within defined requirements.
• Power system design including topology, modeling, component selection, schematics, coding and implementation.
• Solve technical problems across development phases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet specs, costs and schedules.
• Provide design support and issue resolution during product design stage.

Job Summary

Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Firmware Engineer located in Kallang, Singapore. This includes maintaining quality engineering programs, standards, and improvements within the organization.

What a typical day looks like

• Developing leading-edge power platform from concept stage to working prototype within the defined requirements.

• Power system design including system level modeling and simulation, topology architecture, key components (digital controller, isolator etc) selection, schematics, coding and implementing etc.

• Solve technical related problems so encountered throughout the development phases

• Work across functional teams to ensure product meet product specification, cost target, schedule, etc.

• Design support and issue solving during the product design stage which is handled by the product design team

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Master (or above) in power electronics or electrical, automation.

• 5 years’ experience for Master degree, 2 years’ experience for PhD degree, in high power system digital control and simulation (SST, AIDC, EV fast charger), independent project design experience.

• Strong digital control knowledge (based on TI C2000 or equivalent), well understanding about modeling and simulation of the power system, solid understanding on popular topology such as Totem Pole PFC, Vienna PFC, T-NPC, ANPC, LLC, CLLC, DAB etc.

• Familiar with engineering tools such as Matlab/Simulink, MatchCAD, PLECS, PADs,
