Job summary

Flex in Singapore is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement and optimize manufacturing methods for PCBA and system box builds in Kallang. You will plan processes, coordinate resources, and drive improvements to delivery, quality and cost targets.

You will work with cross-functional teams, read 2D drawings, liaise with customers on specs, and support transfers. Mandarin capability is a plus; English is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCBA or system box build is preferred.
• Strong ability to analyze layouts and improve manufacturing methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes and methods.
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods within schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize throughput.
• Support validation of new processes and equipment.
• Assist in cost improvement and lean initiatives.

If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Manufacturing Engineer located in Kallang, Singapore .What a typical day looks like:Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support in the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties.Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications, bill of materials and design changes and responds to their request.Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.Responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing organization.Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturabilityPrepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for productionConduct and support Validation activities on Manufacturing System/Equipment and/or process setup.Oversee new process equipment productionEstablish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parametersTrouble shoot process related issuesParticipate to activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.Evaluate and select various engineered materialsImplement statistical process analysis on new and existing productsImplement safety, productivity and yield improvements.Improve manufacturing techniques and through put.Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilitiesDevelop and maintain process documentationReview processing methodsInterface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transferAssist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transferProvide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.Participates in cost improvement/reduction programs as part of LEANContribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs.Participate and adhere to Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) policy, programs and procedures.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:Technical knowledge of PCBA and/or System box buildAble to read and understand 2D drawings, schematics for componentsEnglish proficiency required.The ability to communicate in Mandarin (spoken and written) will be considered a beneficial skill. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.PC Literate: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD etc.CAD system basicsGood technical and commercial communication skills.
