Job summary

VANGUARD FACILITY MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Fire Safety Manager to take overall charge of site facilities management and ensure safe operation of the building in Singapore.

The role oversees SCDF compliance, fire safety acts/codes, and the performance of critical M&E and fire protection systems. You will lead engineers, technicians and external providers while managing Budgets and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering, facilities management or related field.
• Valid registration as a Senior Fire Safety Manager (SFSM) recognized by SCDF.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in facilities management and fire safety management.
• Experience leading site-based facilities operations and technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of building M&E infrastructure, fire protection systems and statutory requirements.
• Experience in diverse environments (commercial, healthcare, industrial, etc.).
• Solid leadership, contractor management, client engagement and stakeholder coordination.
• Good understanding of facilities contracts, budgets and service performance management.
• Strong analytical, decision-making and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall charge of site facilities management activities and ensure smooth, safe operation of the building.
• Oversee compliance with SCDF requirements, Fire Safety Act, Fire Code and other regulations.
• Manage the performance and maintenance of key M&E, fire protection and building service systems.
• Establish preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to improve reliability and uptime.
• Monitor asset condition and lifecycle; identify upgrades or replacements.
• Plan and coordinate fire safety and emergency preparedness (FEP, ERP, drills).
• Lead engineers, technicians, contractors and external providers to meet standards.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to address operational needs promptly.
• Own facilities management budgets, maintenance expenditure and procurement.
• Carry out inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions from audits and investigations.
• Coordinate with SCDF, BCA, consultants and authorities on regulatory matters.
• Ensure site activities comply with WSH, quality standards and procedures.
• Provide direction during emergencies and business continuity situations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, service delivery, and efficiency.
