Job summary

EY Singapore is seeking an Audit Associate to deliver quality auditing services for financial services clients. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and apply accounting knowledge to client situations.

You will plan engagement objectives and audit strategies, supervise junior staff, manage engagement economics, and build strong relationships with audit clients throughout the year. This role offers opportunities to develop leadership and technical skills within a global firm.

Qualifications

• A degree in Accountancy (or related studies) or a professional Accountancy qualification.
• At least 1.5 years of external audit experience within the financial services sector (insurance, banking, or asset management).

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality auditing services to clients and their stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
• Collaborate to plan engagement objectives and an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately address risk.
• Direct field work, manage engagement economics and inform supervisors of the audit engagement status.
• Monitor the engagement team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed.
• Supervise junior engagement team members and develop them through effectively delegating audit tasks and providing guidance to assurance staff.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with audit client personnel, assess audit clients' satisfaction and proactively maintain contact with the audit client throughout the year.
