Job summary

The role involves SAP-based accounting, GL reconciliations, and coordination with auditors and business units.

The ideal candidate holds an accounting/finance degree (or professional certification) with 2–5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in IFRS/SFRS, and exposure to SAP and XBRL filings.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance, or relevant professional certification (e.g. CA/CPA/ACCA) preferred.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Basic knowledge of SFRS/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as SAP and reporting/consolidation tools is advantageous.
• Experience in statutory reporting and XBRL filing would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly financial reporting and closing for non-banking subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
• Prepare accounting entries, perform GL reconciliations, and support SAP accounting activities.
• Prepare and upload trial balances and consolidation reporting information in accordance with Group reporting requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of management reporting schedules, including investment, exposure, and P&L analysis.
• Support regulatory and statutory reporting activities to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, XBRL filings, and audit schedules, and coordinate information requests from auditors.
• Process billing, intercompany transactions, and cost recovery activities accurately and on a timely basis.
• Support accounting assessments and analyses for specific accounting matters as required.
• Liaise with Business Units, Tax, and other stakeholders to obtain information required for reporting and audit purposes.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and system enhancements.
• Perform other finance-related duties and ad hoc assignments as required.
