Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Manager‑level professional for its Transaction Advisory Group in Asia. You will lead and execute core financial due diligence, assessing earnings quality, cash flows and risks across targets in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.

You will synthesize financial data into actionable insights, prepare client-ready reports, and support deal negotiations. A strong Big Four background and regional travel readiness are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
• CPA or CA certification strongly preferred.
• Big Four experience required.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin Chinese, Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog or Vietnamese preferred.
• Experience in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines or Vietnam with a Big Four firm preferred.
• Ability to travel within the region.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau preferred.
• Manager role: 1–2 years audit at Big Four and 4+ years in financial due diligence.
• Top Performer in peer group expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying risks and deal breakers and evaluating targets against benchmarks.
• Analyze detailed financial statements and synthesize data into meaningful insights for discussions with management.
• Assess earnings quality, net assets and cash flows of the target.
• Prepare deal-oriented reports and presentations highlighting key findings and implications for valuation and M&A agreements.
• Meetings with target management and client personnel; secondary client contact for day-to-day execution.
• Support client relationships between transactions.
• Mentor Associates and Seniors; manage team priorities.
• Maintain budget and fee analysis.
• Lead on Quality of Earnings, P&L and working capital analyses.
• Communicate engagement scope changes and billing/status updates.
• Develop solutions to engagement risks and advise on risk mitigation.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff.
• Coordinate conflict check info and engagement codes with MDs.
• Assist MDs in sales efforts.
