Job summary

UL International-Singapore Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a CAE engineer to develop and review FEA simulations evaluating structural performance across static, dynamic, and thermal domains. The role includes fatigue analysis, material modeling, and V&V collaboration with design, test, and manufacturing teams.

You will build models with proper BCs and loading, interpret complex results, and translate findings into engineering insights while adhering to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical simulation, structural analysis, or CAE.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and review FEA simulations to evaluate structural performance.
• Perform linear and nonlinear static analyses.
• Perform dynamic analyses (Modal, Harmonic, Random Vibration, Impact/Drop).
• Conduct thermal and thermo-mechanical coupled simulations.
• Carry out fatigue analysis (HCF/LCF).
• Build simulation models with material models, BCs, and loading scenarios.
• Apply material behavior knowledge (metals, plastics, hyper elastic) in simulations.
• Evaluate results for stress, deformation, fatigue life, and failure risks.
• Perform hand calculations and checks to validate FEA results.
• Support V&V by correlating simulations with physical test data.
• Assist root-cause analysis and failure investigations via simulation.
• Prepare clear technical reports for stakeholders and customers.
• Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams on design improvements.
• Ensure simulation approaches follow ASME, ISO, ASTM standards.
• Contribute to modeling practices, templates, and workflows.
