Job summary

Dyson is seeking a mechanical analyst in Singapore to perform static, dynamic, and structural analyses and to drive design decisions with credible simulations. You will collaborate with Design Engineers, assess risks, and ensure timely handovers across teams and sites. <\/p>

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical analysis, proficiency in ANSYS/Moldflow/Abaqus, and experience with FEA, molding, and modal analysis, plus strong communication and team skills. <\/p>

Qualifications

• 5+ years in mechanical product analysis and development.
• Proficient in CAD/CAE tools: ANSYS, Moldflow, Abaqus.
• Strong knowledge of FEA, plastic molding, and modal/vibration analyses.
• Familiar with measurement/data tools like MATLAB, LabVIEW.

About the role

• Proactively assess risks, solve problems, and communicate issues concisely.
• Plan, prioritize, and ensure timely handover of project deliverables across teams and locations.
• Learn new technical skills as needed to resolve issues through self-learning and research.
• Present findings and mitigation strategies to cross-functional teams for effective solutions.
• Promote technical excellence, best practices, and develop new tools or methods to enhance product performance and reliability.

About you

• Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Material Science, or equivalent, with 5+ years experience in mechanical product analysis and development.
• Proficient in CAD/CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, Moldflow, Abaqus) and experienced in structural (FEA), plastic molding, and modal/vibration analyses.
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics and material strength; experience with FEA automation or machine learning is a plus.
• Familiarity with measurement and data acquisition tools (e.g., B&K Pulse, strain gauge, MATLAB, Labview).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk identification skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and contribute to FMEA sessions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly present ideas and coach less experienced engineers.
• Collaborative team player, passionate about FEA automation and analytics, open to feedback and knowledge sharing.
