Job summary

JTE Recruit Pte Ltd on behalf of our client in Singapore seeks an experienced SME for SMT, PTH and Press-Fit technologies. The role delivers technical training and guidance to internal engineering teams and clients, acting as a trusted technical authority.

You will lead cross-functional coordination with Quality, Manufacturing, and Reliability Test Labs, and collaborate with external contract manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of failure analysis experience in electronics.
• Experience in SMT, PTH, and Press-Fit manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the global SME for SMT, PTH, and Press-Fit technologies, delivering training and guidance to internal engineering teams and clients.
• Lead cross-functional coordination with Quality, Manufacturing, and Reliability Test Labs, as well as external contract manufacturers and suppliers, to resolve complex application issues.
• Participate in front-end design reviews, risk evaluations, and NPI processes including DFM, DVPR, and FMEA.
• Formulate soldering test and validation strategies, including developing custom test fixtures and configuring parameter settings for new product verification.
• Conduct manufacturing process reviews, audits, and validations on-site at customer and contract manufacturer facilities.
• Drive continuous improvement programs, yield enhancement initiatives, and new product development process upgrades.
• Ensure strict adherence to industry standards including ISO, IATF, IPC soldering requirements, and EH&S regulations.
