Job summary

Jabil Circuit (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a leader to direct the Machine Support group, maintain production schedules, and ensure quality standards across the team. The role involves recruiting and mentoring engineers, technicians, and specialists, while improving retention and development programs.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least three years in maintenance management, with hands-on SMT and through-hole experience, SPC, DFM/DFT, and Design of Experiment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; and three years experience in maintenance management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of Surface Mount Technologies (SMT) and Thru-hole equipment/gear, process optimization, Statistical Process Control, Design for Manufacturability, Design for Test, Demand Flow Technology, and Design of Experiment methodologies.
• Knowledge of engineering disciplines including chemistry, mechanical, electrical, and industrial as it pertains to surface mount and final assembly.

Responsibilities

• Directs the activities of the Machine Support group.
• Maintains production schedules and ensures quality standards are adhered to by the group.
• Recruit, interview and hire Process Engineers, Industrial Techs, WAVE Techs, and Machine Support Techs.
• Coach machine support department staff in the interviewing/hiring process.
• Monitor team turnover and implement improvements.
• Identify development needs and create training curriculum.
• Manage succession plans for the machine shop function.
• Establish clear goals and measure performance across the team.
• Provide timely feedback and professional evaluations.
• Coordinate large team activities and maintain focus during crises.
• Ensure safe, compliant operations and adherence to security policies.
