Job summary

Sanmina-SCI Systems Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Engineer to oversee licensed electrical works, installations and building M&E infrastructure. You will coordinate with contractors, ensure regulatory compliance and manage maintenance programmes and budgets in a facilities environment.

The role requires a Diploma or professional electrical qualification, LEW certification by EMA, and at least 3 years in manufacturing or building management, with strong planning and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Professional certification in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Licensed electrical worker (LEW) certified by EMA.
• Knowledge of SS 638, COP for Electrical Installations.
• Knowledge in building services.
• Excellent planning, problem solving, project management and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of security systems, M&E services, regulatory guidelines and safety requirements.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or building management.

About the role

This is an Engineer position responsible for duties related to licensed electrical works and electrical installations, maintenance oversight, and safety inspections to electrical systems. The role involves overseeing all operation and maintenance of the building and M&E infrastructure, coordinating with contractors, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing facility maintenance programmes and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct duties related to licensed electrical works and electrical installations
• Provide training to staff on works relating to electrical installations
• Perform maintenance oversight and safety inspections to electrical systems
• Oversee all operation and maintenance of the building and M&E infrastructure
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure facility repair or maintenance tasks are effectively carried out
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory authority requirements
• Plan and manage renovation and building maintenance programmes
• Prepare and manage operational budget and cost
• Manage inventory, maintenance and storage of all facility equipment
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance of facilities installation and equipment

About you

• Minimum Diploma or Professional certification in electrical engineering or any related discipline
• Licensed electrical worker (LEW) certified by the Energy Market Authority (EMA)
• Knowledge of SS 638, Code of Practice (COP) for Electrical Installations
• Knowledge in building services
• Excellent skills in planning, problem solving, project management and leadership
• Strong knowledge in security system, M&E services and well-versed with regulatory guidelines, building facility security requirement and safety requirement
• Minimum 3 years of experience preferably in manufacturing industries or building management
