Job Responsibilities
- Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee daily facility operations for Batam site, ensuring high reliability and availability of Electrical Power and building systems (HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Compressed Air, Waste Water Treatment, etc.)
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs
- Monitor and manage utilities consumption (electricity, water, gas) and optimize cost efficiency
- Project Management
- Lead facility-related capital improvement and renovation projects, including planning, budgeting, vendor selection, execution, and commissioning
- Coordinate production line infrastructure setup and relocation projects in collaboration with engineering teams to ensure seamless operations
- Equipment & Infrastructure Management
- Ensure proper functioning and upkeep of critical infrastructure such as all process utilities equipment, production/non-production room environment management, chemical storage, waste management facilities, life‑saving/protection system/fire protection system
- Maintain accurate documentation of asset lists, maintenance records, and facility drawings
- Compliance, Health & Safety
- Ensure meeting regulatory requirements in Indonesia for environmental, building, safety, and fire codes
- Work closely with the EHS team to support audits, risk assessments, safety programs, and emergency response readiness
- Manage permits, licenses, and certifications for facility systems
- Vendor & Budget Management
- Oversee 3rd‑party contractors for maintenance and other facility services
- Negotiate service contracts to ensure cost‑effectiveness and quality
- Manage annual facility budgets, expenses, and capital expenditures planning
- Team Leadership & Cross‑Site Coordination
- Lead and mentor a team of facility technicians and engineers in Batam
- Ensure strong coordination between both sites to maintain consistent facility standards and operational excellence
- Provide training, guidance, and performance management for team members
- Business Continuity & Emergency Management
- Develop and maintain all facility‑related business continuity plans
- Lead site emergency response for incidents such as power failures, system breakdowns, fire, or natural disasters
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of Facilities Management experience, with at least 5 years in a high‑volume manufacturing environment, preferably electronics/semiconductor
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related fields or Diploma with solid/ more than 10 years of relevant experience can be considered
- Strong knowledge of electrical power generation (Diesel & Gas) & distribution system, building M&E systems, HVAC, Building Utilities (Compressed Air, Cooling Tower, DI Water, Waste Water Treatment)
- Proficient in office software, facilities management systems, basic CAD and data reporting tools.
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems
- Familiarity with EHS standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001), sustainability adoption (e.g., GREEN building, LEED), FM Global /NFPA Standards (an added advantage, ) and local regulations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and facility schematics
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent problem‑solving, planning, and project management skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management
