Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking a Senior/Manager, Export Compliance to oversee governance of defence exports and technology security policies, ensuring compliance with Singapore Customs Act, Regulations of Imports and export Act, and other foreign regimes.

This role collaborates with internal stakeholders and external agencies to provide guidance on import/export matters, develop processes, and maintain records for audits and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification, preferably in engineering or a technical field.
• Experience in export controls and defence technology systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of Singapore Strategic Goods (Control) Act and U.S. Export Control Regulations (ITAR, EAR) would be a plus.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Strong analytical and planning abilities to anticipate and address issues.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor export/import policies to comply with Singapore Customs Act and U.S. export control regulations.
• Assist with end-user undertakings and respond to internal queries.
• Guide business units on regulatory changes and license conditions for defence exports.
• Maintain visibility of export controlled items and document management for audits.
• Prepare accurate export paperwork and support compliance training and initiatives.
• Advise internal stakeholders during international events and foreign visitor clearances.
