Job summary

Sephora SEA is seeking a Senior Executive in the Data Excellence team to connect business needs with scalable data solutions. You will translate questions into semantic data models, dashboards, and insights, strengthen data governance, and elevate the BI ecosystem across the organization.

In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to build trusted analytics, develop DBT-based data models, and deliver self-service data products to support commercial and operational decisions.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics.
• Experience with retail/e-commerce or consumer goods advantageous.
• Strong SQL skills and DBT data modeling.
• Experience building dashboards in BI platforms (Power BI, Domo, Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Bridge between business and data teams to translate needs into data models and dashboards.
• Develop, test, and maintain SQL data models using DBT for reporting and analytics.
• Design dashboards in Power BI, Domo, and Tableau for insights.
• Contribute to data governance with metrics, definitions, ownership, and documentation.
• Share knowledge within the analyst community and promote data capability.

The Data Excellence team is looking for a Senior Executive who can connect business needs with trusted, scalable data solutions. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders to translate questions and requirements into well-designed data models, dashboards, and insights. You will also help strengthen data governance, improve the user experience of our BI ecosystem, and build data capability across the organisation.

Business Partnership and Analytics

• Acting as the bridge between business and data teams, developing a strong understanding of business processes, priorities, and decision-making needs
• Translating business questions and requirements into semantic data models, dashboards, and self-service data products to support commercial and operational decision-making
• Building trusted relationships with stakeholders and communicating complex data concepts in a clear, structured, and business-relevant way

Data Modellign and Development

• Developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining SQL data models using DBT to support reporting, dashboarding and analytics use cases
• Designing and managing intuitive, reliable, and scalable dashboards and reports in enterprise BI platforms such as Domo and Power BI
• Serving as a subject-matter expert on Sephora data, data transformation, analytical definitions, and visualization best practices

Governance and Data Enablement

• Contributing to data governance by defining and maintaining business metrics, data definitions, documentation, ownership, and quality standards
• Sharing knowledge, use cases, and insights within the analyst community and helping to recognize users who successfully build their data capabilities

We would love to hear from you if you are/have…

• 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role; experience in retail, beauty, e-commerce, or consumer goods is advantageous
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building data models with DBT
• Experience developing dashboards in a modern BI platform, such as Power BI, Domo or Tableau
• Strong analytical thinking, business curiosity, and the ability to turn ambiguous questions into structured analyses and solutions
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• A high standard of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to data quality, documentation, and maintainability
• Ability to work collaboratively across business, analytics, and data engineering teams while independently driving deliverables
