Job summary

Sephora is seeking a Senior Executive in Data Excellence to bridge business needs with trusted data solutions. You will partner with stakeholders to translate questions into scalable data models, dashboards, and insights, while strengthening governance and enabling data capability across the organisation.

You will design, test, and document data models and dashboards in BI platforms, contributing to trusted analytics and improved decision-making across Sephora SEA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building data models with DBT.
• Experience developing dashboards in a modern BI platform, such as Power BI, Domo or Tableau.
• Strong analytical thinking, business curiosity, and the ability to turn ambiguous questions into structured analyses and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Translate business questions and requirements into semantic data models, dashboards, and self-service data products.
• Develop and maintain trusted data models, definitions, and analytics to support decision-making.
• Strengthen data governance and improve the user experience of the BI ecosystem.

Senior Executive, Data Excellence

The Data Excellence team is looking for a Senior Executive who can connect business needs with trusted, scalable data solutions. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders to translate questions and requirements into well-designed data models, dashboards, and insights. You will also help strengthen data governance, improve the user experience of our BI ecosystem, and build data capability across the organisation.

Data Modellign and DevelopmentDeveloping, testing, documenting, and maintaining SQL data models using DBT to support reporting, dashboarding and analytics use casesDesigning and managing intuitive, reliable, and scalable dashboards and reports in enterprise BI platforms such as Domo and Power BIServing as a subject-matter expert on Sephora data, data transformation, analytical definitions, and visualization best practices

Governance and Data EnablementContributing to data governance by defining and maintaining business metrics, data definitions, documentation, ownership, and quality standardsSharing knowledge, use cases, and insights within the analyst community and helping to recognize users who successfully build their data capabilities

We would love to hear from you if you are/have…3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role; experience in retail, beauty, e-commerce, or consumer goods is advantageousStrong SQL skills and hands-on experience building data models with DBTExperience developing dashboards in a modern BI platform, such as Power BI, Domo or TableauStrong analytical thinking, business curiosity, and the ability to turn ambiguous questions into structured analyses and solutionsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesA high standard of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to data quality, documentation, and maintainabilityAbility to work collaboratively across business, analytics, and data engineering teams while independently driving deliverables
