About the Department

Seagate's Recording Media Operations (RMO) is a critical part of our vertically integrated global manufacturing network, enabling high-performance storage solutions for data-driven industries. Our operations support advanced media manufacturing technologies within precision-controlled cleanroom environments and high-volume, 24/7 production operations.

As part of the Business Excellence team, you will work closely with Operations, Quality, Finance, Facility, Supply Chain, and Industrial Engineering teams. You will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive measurable operational improvements and deliver sustainable business value.

Job Summary

You will lead high-impact operational improvement initiatives across Seagate’s Recording Media Operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive measurable business value and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of plant-wide performance measurement capabilities to enhance operational efficiency through data-driven decision-making
• Drive improvement initiatives aligned with business strategies, KPIs, and financial goals, ensuring benefits are validated, tracked, and sustained
• Apply analytical and statistical methods to identify root causes, validate solutions, and improve productivity, workforce planning, budgeting accuracy, and Kaizen project outcomes
• Lead AI and automation projects to advance process digitalization, automation, and data visualization efforts
• Coach, train, and engage stakeholders to promote continuous improvement practices across the organization
• Collaborate effectively with Operations, Quality, Finance, Facility, Supply Chain, and Industrial Engineering teams to deliver sustainable business improvements
• Adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and continuously learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance business performance
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience in business analysis and operational improvement within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional improvement projects delivering measurable results
• Solid knowledge and application of Lean methodologies, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), waste elimination, flow optimization, and pull systems

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline
