Job summary

The Singapore Association for the Deaf is seeking a Senior Executive, Communications to drive advocacy and storytelling that advances an inclusive Singapore for the deaf community.

You will develop strategies, curate impactful stories, and manage our brand across platforms, while engaging with media and stakeholders. The role emphasizes collaboration with vendors and events to maximize reach and impact.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in communications or PR.
• Strong writing or visuals and storytelling ability.
• Willingness to learn Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) to communicate with the deaf community.

The Role: Impact in Action

As our Senior Executive, you’ll be the advocate of our community and the heart behind our brand.

• Strategic Communicator: You’ll develop and implement communication and advocacy strategies that bring our mission to life across multiple platforms.


• Content & Impact Strategist: You’ll identify and curate stories that matter, turning our daily work into engaging content for social media and beyond that moves the needle on public perception.


• Brand Guardian: You’ll manage our communication platforms, ensuring brand consistency and identity across everything we produce.


• Media & Stakeholder Liaison: You’ll proactively engage with the media, monitor coverage, and build relationships with potential partners to expand our reach and influence.


• Campaign Collaborator: You’ll coordinate with vendors to execute marketing campaigns and work closely with the team to support events, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement.

Who You Are

• Strategic & Experienced: You bring 3 – 5 years of experience in communications or PR. You don't just follow a brief — you proactively identify new angles for stories and possess a hunger to grow your craft.


• A Gifted Narrator: You’re a natural at connecting with people through your writing or visuals, and you’re just as comfortable working on your own as you are collaborating with the team.


• Community-Minded: If you’ve spent time with the deaf community before, that’s great! If not, don’t worry—we’ll support you in learning Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) so you can communicate with everyone here.
