Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) invites applications for a Senior Equipment Engineer in the Etching Department.

You will be responsible for preventive maintenance and monitoring equipment performance indices to meet production goals. The role requires a degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical/ Microelectronics or equivalent, 2–5 years wafer fab experience, and familiarity with Lam etch tool.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical/ Microelectronics or equivalent.
• 2-5 years semiconductor wafer fab experience as an Equipment Engineer (title to be assessed).
• Engineering knowledge including semiconductor devices theory, electronics, electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic control systems, digital principles, wafer fabrication processes, pump and vacuum systems, and electrical wiring.
• Familiar with Lam etch tool.
• Good Team Player.
• Good Analytical & Problem-Solving skills.

Responsibilities

• To sustain and improve all equipment performance indices to meet operations goals.
• Perform 12 hours rotating day/night shift duties to support production with quality.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshoot equipment-related problems to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and control equipment performance indices.
• Maximize the uptime of equipment to sustain performance.
• Coordinate with process and manufacturing Engineers to ensure efficient work to meet module objectives.
• Establish stock levels of essential spares and consumables based on forecasted manufacturing volume.
• Forecast equipment spares and other equipment-related expenditures.
• Provide and maintain PM specifications for equipment to meet ISO requirements.
• Organize training for AEs to upgrade their technical skills and maximize effectiveness.
• Implement equipment improvement projects to upkeep capabilities and reliability.
• Participate in 10k idea, LSS & BKM programs to optimize equipment utilization and PM cost.
• Execute new equipment start-up to support production from facilities hook-up to acceptance.
• Documentation of Corrective Action and Best-Known Methods for troubleshooting.
• Ensure good housekeeping and safety practices in the Fab.
• Establish communication with Mother FAB to transfer BKM and benchmarking.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) during emergencies.
