Job summary

NOVA-TECH MFG PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Engineer to oversee the reliability of our manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, tool presetters, and inspection gear.

You will develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, lead root cause analyses, and coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Planning to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime. Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on CNC maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, servo, spindle, and machine control systems.
• Experience with PM, predictive maintenance, equipment reliability, and RCA.
• Able to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Familiar with CMMS/ERP/MES; added advantage.
• Willing to work in East Region, Changi North Crescent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and reliability of all production equipment.
• Develop and implement PM and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Lead equipment troubleshooting, breakdown recovery, and root cause analysis (RCA) activities.
• Monitor equipment performance across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and control systems.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams.
• Manage maintenance resources including spare parts inventory, maintenance tools, contractors, OEMs, and service providers.
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning, upgrading, relocation, and improvement projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and improve MTBF, MTTR, and PM compliance.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Lead equipment troubleshooting, breakdown recovery, and root cause analysis (RCA) activities.
• Monitor equipment performance and reliability, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and control systems.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams.
• Manage maintenance resources including spare parts inventory, maintenance tools, contractors, OEMs, and service providers.
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning, upgrading, relocation, and improvement projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and improvement of MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability, and PM compliance.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in CNC machine maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably CNC milling and turning equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, servo, spindle, and machine control systems.
• Proven experience in preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, equipment reliability, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Knowledge of maintenance KPIs, spare parts management, and equipment reliability practices, safety LOTO requirement.
• Experience with CMMS, ERP, or MES systems will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills and able to respond to urgent equipment breakdowns when required.
• Willing to work in the East Region, Changi North Crescent.
