Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) is seeking an experienced IT production support specialist to engage in daily incident management, deployments, and problem resolution. You will collaborate with product support, development, and other teams to drive permanent fixes and system improvements.

The role covers liaison with stakeholders, health checks, script development, and after-hours standby for major incidents, contributing to the overall stability of critical applications for the bank.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a finance institution.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Identity Governance 12c, Oracle Database, WebLogic, BI Publisher, Oracle Connectors, Linux/Unix/Windows Server OS.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript; networking basics incl. load balancers, firewalls, SSL.
• Directory services: LDAP and AD, strong SQL skills and reporting tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage in day-to-day support activities including incident and problem management.
• Perform production deployments and patch activities on supported applications and servers.
• Collaborate with product support and development for permanent resolution and changes.
• Provide first level support knowledge transfer and health checks.
• Work with stakeholders to improve stability of applications.
• Develop support documents and reports, drive audit requests and requirements.
• Develop Linux scripts as required.
• Provide after-hours standby support for emergencies and major incidents.
• Drive improvements through relationships with cross-team managers.
• Correlate events across systems to surface and resolve underlying issues.
