Job summary

The Government Technology Agency seeks an Engineering Manager to drive technical excellence and team growth for MoF’s GeBIZ X initiative. You will lead a high-performing team, balance new features with sustainability, and guide architectural decisions to deliver government-grade software.

You will coordinate with product, UX, and stakeholders to execute a product-centric delivery plan, ensuring data protection and scalable cloud solutions for public sector needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of software/solution/system engineering experience with at least 6 years hands-on.
• Minimum 3 years business analyst experience in software projects and Agile methods (e.g., SCRUM).
• 3+ years in Agile environment and Cloud platform.
• Experience with Government Commercial Cloud, SHIP-HATS and SG Tech Stack.
• 8+ years in modern full-stack technologies and leadership role.
• Proven Salesforce implementation experience in public sector.
• Knowledge of data protection regulations in the public sector.
• Proven people management track record and coaching abilities.
• Experience with large, high-availability systems at scale.
• Strong leadership and soft skills; passion for public good.
• 2+ years coaching developers and driving career growth.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define team engineering vision and strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with Product/UX to shape technical and delivery goals.
• Balance feature delivery with sustainability, maintainability, risk mitigation.
• Provide technical judgment on design/architecture trade-offs.
• Use metrics to improve delivery flow and reliability.
• Build and mentor a high-performing, growth-oriented team.
• Deliver high-quality software with long-term sustainability.
• Lead architecture reviews and decision-making with Staff+ ICs.
• Develop long-term technical roadmaps and cross-team collaboration.
