Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Semiconductor Test Development experience.
• Experience in Product Engineering and Silicon Characterization.
• Experience with test methodology development and data analysis.
• Programming and scripting in C/C++, Python, or Java is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, validate, and release production test programs for semiconductor products.
• Design and implement test methodologies to ensure adequate test coverage and product quality.
• Develop and validate test hardware solutions to support characterization and qualification activities.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated Test Engineer Expert (Senior Engineer) to develop and deliver robust test solutions that enable successful product qualification and release into manufacturing. This role focuses on test development, characterization, product qualification, and production readiness, working closely with Design, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective test solutions for Infineon's semiconductor products.

Your role

Test Development & Release

• Develop, debug, validate, and release production test programs for semiconductor products.
• Design and implement test methodologies to ensure adequate test coverage andproduct quality.
• Develop and validate test hardware solutions to support characterization andqualification activities.
• Drive test program optimization for testquality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with design andproduct engineering teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test solutions.
• Ensure test solutions are production-ready and meetmanufacturing release requirements.
• Generate qualification reports and provide recommendations for production release.

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze test and characterization data to identifytrends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Utilize statistical techniques and engineering methodologies to improve testrobustness and product quality.
• Develop automation scripts anddata analysis tools to improve engineering productivity.
• Leverage digital engineering tools and AI-assisted analytics where appropriate to accelerate data analysis and problem-solving.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely withDesign, Product Engineering, Quality, Reliability, and Manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and product transfers to manufacturing sites.
• Participate intechnical reviews and contribute to product release decisions.
• Ensure proper documentation of test methodologies, characterization results, and release packages.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in:
• o Electrical & Electronic Engineering
• o Computer Engineering
• o Microelectronics
• o Related Engineering disciplines

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in:
• o Semiconductor Test Development
• o Product Engineering
• o Silicon Characterization
• o Test Methodology Development

Technical Competencies

• Good understanding of:
  • Semiconductor devices and integrated circuits
  • Analog, mixed-signal, digital, or microcontroller testing
  • Test development and validation methodologies
  • Product characterization and qualification processes
  • Statistical data analysis techniques
• Experience withAutomated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of wafer sort and final test methodologies.
• Programming and scripting experience using:
  • C/C++
  • Python
  • Java
  • Other relevant engineering scripting languages
• Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withautomotive, industrial, power, sensor, connectivity, or microcontroller products.
• Understanding of qualification and reliability requirements in semiconductor device development.
• Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and engineeringproblem-solving methodologies.
• Familiarity with automation, digital engineering tools, andAI-assisted data analysis techniques is an advantage.
• Experience working in global, cross-functional engineering teams.
