Senior Engineer-Planning & Control (Marine)

Job summary

ST Engineering Singapore is seeking a capable planning professional to join our Marine division. You will prepare and maintain master schedules for tenders, build integrated schedules with Primavera P6, and develop baseline plans with resource loading to support production.

You will monitor material deliveries, track drawings, report progress to the Project Manager, identify delays, and generate cost tracking and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in an engineering field.
• PM skills include planning, scheduling, costing, risk management, manpower management, and CRM.
• Applicants from Production Ops in yards or marine industry switching to planning are welcome.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels and manage issues with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Prepares preliminary master schedule for tenders.
• Maintains integrated schedule of drawings, procurement, construction, test and trials using Primavera P6.
• Prepares baseline schedule with resource loading in Primavera P6.
• Plans and monitors timely delivery of materials and equipment to support production.
• Monitors timely issuance of drawings by Engineering Centre to support production schedule.
• Monitors and reports progress vs baseline to the Project Manager, including issues and risks.
• Identifies delays and provides recovery schedules to the Project Manager.
• Creates job numbers to capture project costs.
• Generates progress and man-hour reports.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares preliminary master schedule for tenders
• Prepares and maintains an integrated schedule of drawings, procurement, construction, test and trials, integrated logistic plan using Primavera P6.
• Prepares baseline schedule which includes resource loading using Primavera P6.
• Plan and monitor timely delivery of materials and equipment to support the production schedule
• Monitor and track the timely issuance of drawings by Engineering Centreto support the production schedule
• Monitor and report to Project Manager of project progress versus baseline, including issues and risks in a timely manner
• Identify delays and provide recovery schedule to Project Manager
• Creates job numbers for capturing of costs
• Generate progress and manhour report

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering fields
• Project Management Skills in the following areas: Planning scheduling and costing, Risk management, Manpower management, Customer Relationship management
• Candidates from Production Ops in yards or marine industry interested in switching to a planning role are welcome to apply
• Able to deal and communicate with people effectively at all levels on the ground, identify and manage issues, cost consciousness and urgency to get things done
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is advantageous, not a must.

• 5 days work week
• Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm
