Job summary

ST Engineering Marine Ltd is seeking a Planning/Scheduling professional to develop and manage master schedules for tenders and production in the shipbuilding environment. The role involves integrated planning across drawings, procurement, construction, test, and trials, with close liaison to Engineering and Project Management.

You will monitor progress, identify delays, and generate recovery schedules. Diploma/Engineering degree preferred; experience with Primavera P6 is a plus, and candidates

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering fields.
• Project Management Skills in planning scheduling and costing, risk management, manpower management, customer relationship management.
• Primavera P6 experience is advantageous.
• Candidates from Production Ops in yards or marine industry switching to planning are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Prepares preliminary master schedule for tenders.
• Prepares and maintains an integrated schedule of drawings, procurement, construction, test and trials, using Primavera P6.
• Plans and monitors timely delivery of materials and equipment to support the production schedule.
• Monitors and reports project progress versus baseline to the Project Manager.

Job description:

Responsibilities:

• Prepares preliminary master schedule for tenders
• Prepares and maintains an integrated schedule of drawings, procurement, construction, test and trials, integrated logistic plan using Primavera P6.
• Prepares baseline schedule which includes resource loading using Primavera P6.
• Plan and monitor timely delivery of materials and equipment to support the production schedule
• Monitor and track the timely issuance of drawings by Engineering Centre to support the production schedule
• Monitor and report to Project Manager of project progress versus baseline, including issues and risks in a timely manner
• Identify delays and provide recovery schedule to Project Manager
• Creates job numbers for capturing of costs
• Generate progress and manhour report

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering fields
• Project Management Skills in the following areas: Planning scheduling and costing, Risk management, Manpower management, Customer Relationship management
• Candidates from Production Ops in yards or marine industry interested in switching to a planning role are welcome to apply
• Able to deal and communicate with people effectively at all levels on the ground, identify and manage issues, cost consciousness and urgency to get things done
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is advantageous, not a must.

• 5 days work week
• Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm
