Responsibilities
- Support projects and the department to ensure compliance with EHS regulations, policies, and standards.
- Stay updated on changes to safety regulations and industry best practices, and implement improvements accordingly.
- Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Plan, execute, and report on safety management system (EHSMS) audits.
- Partner with operations and EHS teams to develop policies and procedures tailored to operational needs.
- Organize and conduct EHS inspections for assigned projects.
- Drive compliance with EHSMS requirements across assigned projects.
- Participate in investigations of EHS-related incidents and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective action.
- Prepare reports and presentations on safety performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Undertake key departmental duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager (EHS) / Manager (EHS).
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in EHS or Engineering-related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an EHS role.
- Possession of Hotwork Assessor and Confined Space Assessor Certifications will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of the Workplace Safety & Health Act and Shipbuilding & Ship Repairs regulations.
- Skilled in report writing, incident investigation, and analytical assessments.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage others.
