The ideal candidate will possess a degree in EHS or related fields and have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Support projects and the department to ensure compliance with EHS regulations, policies, and standards.


• Stay updated on changes to safety regulations and industry best practices, and implement improvements accordingly.


• Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.


• Plan, execute, and report on safety management system (EHSMS) audits.


• Partner with operations and EHS teams to develop policies and procedures tailored to operational needs.


• Organize and conduct EHS inspections for assigned projects.


• Drive compliance with EHSMS requirements across assigned projects.


• Participate in investigations of EHS-related incidents and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective action.


• Prepare reports and presentations on safety performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.


• Undertake key departmental duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager (EHS) / Manager (EHS).

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in EHS or Engineering-related fields.


• Minimum 3 years of experience in an EHS role.


• Possession of Hotwork Assessor and Confined Space Assessor Certifications will be an added advantage.


• Strong understanding of the Workplace Safety & Health Act and Shipbuilding & Ship Repairs regulations.


• Skilled in report writing, incident investigation, and analytical assessments.


• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage others.
