Dyson Institute in Singapore seeks a Mechanical Analyst to perform static, dynamic, structural and thermal analyses. You will partner with design engineers to drive decisions via credible simulations and ensure smooth handovers from UK to SEA.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor in mechanical engineering or related field with around 5 years of product analysis experience, and is proficient in ANSYS, Moldflow, Abaqus, and related tools.
Dyson’s Virtual Engineering team brings together specialists in FEA, thermal, moldflow, optics, vibration, and electromagnetics simulation. By using advanced digital modelling, we solve engineering challenges and optimise products before building physical prototypes. Our collaborative, multi-disciplinary team works globally and partners externally to deliver data-driven insights for world-class products.
Perform static, dynamic, structural thermal- mechanical analysis

Drive design forward and ensure correct decisions are made at all stages of the design process through credible simulation methods. Able to pick up technical skills needed to resolve an issue through self-learning.
Proactive in assessing risks and problem solving impacting the product desired performance or customer satisfaction based on analytics data. Highlight risk in a clear and concise manner
Take ownership of personal career development by setting out immediate and long term plan together with line manager. May manage development plan of discipline engineers. Coach discipline engineers as part of their development plan
Education & Experience Required: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Material Science and Engineering, Mechanics of Materials or equivalent, preferred applicants have a Master degree. 5 years of experience in mechanical product analysis & development, preferably in the consumer electrical appliance industry.
