Job summary

ams OSRAM Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to support manufacturing facilities. The role focuses on maintaining and improving assembly equipment, ensuring uptime and quality across production lines.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with 5–7 years of frontend/backend equipment experience and 3–7 years with Pick & Place systems. This is an on-site role in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electronics, electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 5–7 years of equipment engineering in frontend/backend assembly manufacturing.
• 3–7 years knowledge of Pick & Place equipment.
• Experience leading technicians or cross-functional project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for assembly equipment.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment performance, yield, and productivity.
• Lead equipment qualification and acceptance; coordinate installation, commissioning, startup.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and quality management systems compliance; maintain SOPs and reports.

Your new responsibilities

• Manufacturing Support - Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for assembly equipment. Ensure equipment capability meets production volume and quality requirements
• Process & Equipment Improvement - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment performance, yield, and productivity
• New Equipment Introduction - Lead equipment qualification and acceptance activities. Coordinate installation, commissioning, and startup activities
• Quality & Compliance - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems. Maintain documentation including SOPs, work instructions, maintenance procedures, and engineering reports.

Who we are looking for

• Diploma/ Degree in Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering related.
• Minimum 5 - 7 years of equipment engineering experience in frontend / backend assembly manufacturing
• Minimum 3 - 7 years of technical knowledge of Pick & Place equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Experience leading technicians, or cross-functional project teams
