Job summary

WSAudiology in Singapore seeks an experienced Hardware Development Engineer to join our R&D Electro-acoustic Development team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop hearing aid devices.

The role focuses on concept design, EMC, safety verification, and delivering robust products that meet ANSI/FDA standards while collaborating across global R&D.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in schematic and layout review of PCBs for noise and interference control.
• Good analysis skills and systematic thinking in product designs.
• Familiar with safety, EMS, ESD, electrical interferences and EMC regulation in MedTech R&D.
• Experience with electromagnetic modelling and CST is an advantage.
• FMEA, Design to Manufacturability and Design to cost experience.
• MATLAB and scripting for testing and data analysis.
• Collaborative and independent with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex Hearing Aids concept design aided by software tools and measurements.
• Pioneering new technologies into next generation BTE/RIC hearing aids.
• Develop, evaluate, troubleshoot and optimize electrical performance and EMC solutions.
• Quality and Safety verification based on ANSI and FDA Class 2 Medical Device standards.

We are now looking for an experienced Hardware Development Engineer to join our R&D Singapore Electro-acoustic Development team. You will work closely with the cross functional product development team, as a critical member in our global R&D team to develop our hearing aid devices.

What you will do

• Performs complex Hearing Aids concept design, aided by state of the art software tools and professional measurement setup.
• Pioneering new technologies or solutions into next generation of BTE/RIC hearing aid.
• Develop, evaluate, troubleshoot and optimize electrical performance as well as implementing EMC solutions on hearing aids.
• Quality and Safety verification based on International Standard, American Standard (ANSI) and FDA Class 2 Medical Device.
• Ensuring product robustness and in compliance to electrical and EMC regulations

What you bring

• Master / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in schematic and layout review of PCBs for noise, interference and immunity control.
• Good analysis skills & systematic thinking of product designs
• Familiar with Basic Safety, EMS, ESD, electrical interferences and EMC regulation in MedTech R&D
• Experience with electromagnetic modelling and simulation tools such as CST to proactively mitigate electrical issues would be considered an advantage
• FMEA, Design to Manufacturability and Design to cost experience
• MATLAB and scripting skill for testing and data analysis
• Able to work and communicate well in a collaborative environmentInquisitive and Independent with solid communication and organizational skills to work across administrative boundaries
• Passionate in audio and medical product development, to bring better hearing to people
