Job summary

Sembcorp Industries Ltd. seeks a Digitalisation Engineer to drive agentic AI integration across construction workflows, bridging project managers, engineers, IT teams and field staff to implement software, hardware and smart tech into build environments to improve efficiency and decision making.

You will develop SOPs, train staff, ensure regulatory and data security compliance, monitor performance and advance real-time data analytics to support Kaizen and Agile projects.

Qualifications

• A degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, Business IT or a related field.
• Experience with agentic AI usage and workflow automation.
• Exposure to built environment projects and familiarity with field operations is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and tools (Power Automate, etc.).
• Understanding of networking, sensors and cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Explore, develop and integrate agentic AI digital tools to automate workflows, support decision-making, enhance reporting, and improve operational efficiency to existing build environment workflows.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for integrated technologies.

Purpose & Scope

The Digitalisation Engineer plays a vital role in incorporating agentic AI to existing processes to enhance construction processes, improve efficiency, and support strategic business goals. This role bridges project managers, engineers, IT teams, and field staff to ensure seamless integration of software, hardware, and smart technologies into build environment workflows.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Explore, develop and integrate agentic AI digital tools to automate workflows, support decision-making, enhance reporting, and improve operational efficiency to existing build environment workflows and ensure compatibility with project requirements.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for integrated technologies.
• Provide/Facilitate training and support for field and office staff when introducing the new technology/system.
• Ensure all technology solutions comply with industry regulations and data security protocols.
• Monitor performance and optimize technology use across multiple projects.
• Support the use of real-time data collection and analysis tools to enhance project decision-making. (Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, Agile Methodology)

Qualification & Experiences

• A degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, Business IT or a related field.
• Experience in agentic AI usage and application, including workflow automation, AIenabled analysis, and practical business or project implementation.
• Exposure in built environment projects and familiar with field operations, or a similar industry will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and tools. (Power Automate, etc)
• Understand networking, sensors, and cloud-based systems.
• Experience with data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Knowledge of Lean or Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on capabilities in Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Familiar with AI systems integration, especially for safety and surveillance purposes, would value-add to application.
• Knowledge of agentic AI usage and application, including AI-assisted workflow automation, prompt design, intelligent task orchestration, and practical deployment to support operational and project outcomes.
• Aptitude to support change management initiatives in a tech adoption context
