Job summary

Hwa Seng Builder Pte Ltd is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to plan, design and coordinate civil engineering works alongside contractors and project teams. The role involves reviewing design drawings, liaising with consultants, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

You will manage multiple internal and external teams, monitor schedules, and participate in meetings and site inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (PE Board recognized).
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience; mega infrastructure project planning & coordination would be an advantage.
• Familiar with Codes of Practice, regulations and submission requirements.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 for project planning; strong knowledge of design software listed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and coordinate civil engineering works with contractors/project teams.
• Review and develop design drawings and documents per project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants to meet design objectives efficiently.
• Manage internal/external project teams and communicate with Authorities about design and schedule.
• Ensure compliance with Statutory standards, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
• Monitor and update design schedule regularly.
• Attend project meetings, site inspections and consultations.
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Plan, design, and coordinate civil engineering, infrastructural design works with contractors/project teams.
• Review / Develop design drawings and documents in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate and liaise with other consultants for the discipline activities to achieve the overall project design objectives in the most efficient manner.
• Manage and communicate with internal/external project teams including relevant Authorities and relevant parties about design works and project schedule.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant Statutory standards, Regulations and Codes of Practices.
• Monitor and update design schedule regularly.
• Attend project meetings, site inspections and consultation sessions.
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior(s).

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (Certificates must be recognized by PE Board).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience. Experience in construction planning and programme coordination for mega infrastructure projects would be an added advantage.
• Familiar with Codes of Practice, relevant regulations and submission requirements.
• Highly experienced and proficient in the use of Primavera P6 for project planning.
• Competent user of relevant design software such as Plaxis, Tekla Structure Designer, Tekla TEDDS, Autodesk-Robot Analysis.
• Independent, result-oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills.
• The salary package is commensurate with working experience.
