Job summary

SSMC is seeking an Engineer/Senior Engineer to join Production and Planning in the Manufacturing Department in Singapore. You will translate sales demand and customer requirements into executable wafer fab production plans, and develop scheduling rules to optimize equipment loading, WIP flow, and overall capacity utilization.

You will monitor production progress, drive actions to support on-time delivery, track production indices, and report status to management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Engineering.
• 1-3 years relevant manufacturing experience with preference for wafer-fab experience.
• Interest in Wafer Fabrication Manufacturing.
• Possess leadership quality.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Team player.
• Good analytical and planning skills.
• Willing to work swing shift.

Responsibilities

• Translate sales demand and customer requirements into executable wafer fab production plans.
• Develop and apply scheduling rules to optimize equipment loading, WIP flow, and capacity utilization.

• Track, update, and report production planning indices, fab performance indicators, and production status.
• Collaborate closely with Operations and cross-functional teams to improve delivery performance and efficiency.
• Identify production issues and bottlenecks, and escalate key concerns with recommended actions.
• Support and execute improvement programs to enhance productivity and delivery.
• Chair and coordinate off-shift production meetings to align priorities and actions.
• Support the Manager in daily production planning operations.

• Proactively identify production issues, bottlenecks, and risk areas, and escalates key concerns to management with recommended actions.
• Support and execute improvement programs within manufacturing operations to enhance productivity, delivery, and operational effectiveness.
• Chair and coordinate off-shift production meetings to align priorities, review production status, and follow up on critical actions.
• Support the Manager in daily production planning operations and contribute to achieving department goals.
