Job summary

Alibaba Cloud is seeking a Senior Energy Strategy & Carbon Management Expert to lead power resource planning and carbon management for data centers across China and international markets. The role focuses on secure, cost-effective, lower-carbon power solutions for self-built and leased facilities.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in power systems and electricity markets, with the ability to engage with government authorities, utilities, and internal teams to drive strategic energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a related engineering, economics, or environmental field.
• 3+ years in energy strategy, power project development, or related areas.
• Experience with electricity market analysis and carbon policy frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support power resources and electricity portfolio planning for data centers.
• Engage with government authorities, utilities, and project partners.
• Evaluate energy supply options including renewable power and demand-side solutions.
• Analyze regional electricity markets, tariffs, and procurement models.
