Job summary

MaxLinear, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Emulation Development Engineer to drive emulation/FPGA models from RTL designs and enable efficient pre- and post-silicon validation.

You will work with architects, RTL designers, verification, and software teams globally. The role requires deep experience with emulation tools (HAPS-80, Palladium), RTL languages, and multi-FPGA platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics/Computer Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience in digital design/verification, emulation/FPGA prototyping, and system validation.
• Knowledge of RTL languages (VHDL, Verilog) and emulation/prototyping.
• Experience mapping complex SoC to multi-FPGA platforms (HAPS-80, Palladium) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create emulation/FPGA models from RTL designs using emulation/FPGA synthesis, partitioning and routing tools.
• Define and document RTL changes required for emulation/FPGA; develop hardware and software collaterals and integrate with the model.
• Test and debug the emulation/FPGA model; develop new capabilities and HW/SW tools to accelerate RTL validation and SW development.
• Develop improvements to usability by RTL validation and debugging of failing RTL tests on the emulation platform; guide preSilicon Validation teams.
• Develop and apply automation aids, flows and scripts to improve emulation usability and equipment utilization.
