Job summary

Merry Electronics (Singapore) Pte Ltd seeks an embedded firmware engineer to design, develop, and test firmware for microcontroller-based wireless systems. You will implement communication protocols and work with cross-functional teams from specification to release.

Requirements include a degree in a related field, real-time embedded experience, and strong C/C++ skills for Arm Cortex MCUs. Knowledge of I2C/SPI/UART/USB is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in real-time embedded systems.
• Proficient in C/C++ for embedded applications.
• Experience with Arm Cortex-based microcontrollers for firmware development.
• Strong knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART, and USB protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support firmware and embedded software for microcontroller-based wireless systems to ensure reliable wireless communication.
• Develop and implement software communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and USB for wireless communication systems.
• Lead technology and development projects through all phases from specification to product release, ensuring timely delivery.
• Analyze and interpret electronic schematics and system designs to support firmware development and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project tasks and meet deadlines.
• Define and document product software specifications, including software architecture, feature descriptions, and application notes.
• Research technical challenges and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to improve product performance.
• Participate in ad hoc software projects and assignments to support evolving business needs.
