Job summary

STAFFKING PTE. LTD. is hiring an experienced Electrical Design Lead in Singapore, specifically Kallang, to drive transmission and distribution projects from concept through commissioning.

You will design power and distribution transformers, MV/LV switchgear, and prefabricated substations, ensuring compliance with codes and client specs. You will coordinate with clients and design teams, prepare detailed design packages (SLD, BOM, GA, specs), and support FAT/SAT/T&C activities to energize systems

Qualifications

• Experience in designing Power and Distribution Transformers.
• Experience with MV/LV Switchgear and Prefabricated Substation.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Propose T&D solutions meeting customer requirements while ensuring compliance.
• Evaluate customer specs and bid documents to define design parameters.
• Drive value engineering to enhance solution value.
• Act as lead engineer coordinating with clients and design teams.
• Prepare and review electrical design packages (SLD, BOM, GA, specs, system studies, schematics).
• Support FAT, SAT, and T&C activities for energization of electrical systems.
• Assist standardization and continuous improvement of T&D deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Compliance: Propose Transmission & Distribution (T&D) solutions that meet customer application requirements while ensuring full compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Technical Analysis: Evaluate customer specifications and bid documents to define the technical parameters required for electrical solution design.
• Value Engineering: Drive value engineering initiatives to enhance the overall value proposition of proposed solutions.
• Project Leadership: Serve as the lead engineer, coordinating with clients and design teams to support successful project bidding and execution.
• Design Package Development: Prepare, review, and develop detailed electrical design packages throughout the project lifecycle, including but not limited to:
  • Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
  • Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • General Arrangements (GA)
  • Technical specifications
  • System studies
  • Schematics
  • Interface engineering
  • Design calculations
• Testing & Commissioning Support: Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities as required to ensure successful delivery and energization of electrical systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Assist in the standardization and ongoing improvement of T&D solutions and technical deliverables.
