Job summary

NEU Battery Materials Pte Ltd seeks an Electrochemical Engineer to lead development of alkaline electrolyzers and integrated devices for lithium recycling. The role involves defining performance targets, material needs, and advancing device architecture through hands‑on experimentation and team collaboration.

The candidate will coordinate with chemists and engineers, drive data-driven optimization, and contribute to IP and process scale‑up as NEU expands its pilots toward commercialization.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS/BS with relevant electrochemistry experience.
• 3+ years hands-on electrochemistry research.
• Strong skills interpreting electrochemical data (EIS, Nyquist, Tafel).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of electrochemical systems including alkaline electrolyzers.
• Set technical direction for electrolyzer targets and material requirements.
• Lead system-level integration and durability testing.
• Plan and develop the lithium recycling process line as part of a team.
• Design experiments for electrochemical cell characterization and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with chemists, engineers, and external partners to advance NEU's IP portfolio.
