NEU Battery Materials Pte Ltd is seeking an R&D Intern to support wet chemical and electrochemical testing in a Singapore lab. You will assist in preparing experimental setups, analyze samples, and operate analytical instruments under senior supervision.

The role emphasizes data integrity, safety, and hands-on learning opportunities in a cutting-edge climatetech environment. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in chemistry or materials science, has lab exposure, and communicates effectively

Overview

Founded in 2021, NEU Battery Materials is a Singapore-based climatetech company that developed the world’s first patented electrochemical redox recycling method to recycle used lithium batteries. The company focuses on extracting critical lithium from lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries that are found in electric cars and energy storage systems, which will be key in developing a circular supply chain. NEU aims to be the largest, cleanest, and most neutral source of recycled lithium globally. We are expanding our current scale of operations and are seeking a Research & Development Intern to assist in various aspects of wet chemical and electrochemical testing.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Educational Background: Minimum Diploma holder. Currently pursuing or has a degree in Chemistry, Chemical, Biochemical or Material Sciences and related disciplines
• Demonstrated practical experience in a laboratory setting, with a basic understanding of electrochemical methods and analytical chemistry considered a plus
• Strong desire to learn, coupled with problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork in a dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
