Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience.
• Valid EMA LEW Grade 7 license.
• Higher Nitec or Diploma in Electrical/Power Engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in daily operations, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Lead and supervise maintenance activities to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Attend fault reports, service requests, and emergencies with frontline troubleshooting.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance per schedules.
• Carry out electrical switching operations and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Issue Permits-to-Work (PTW) and Clearance Certificates as needed for safe work.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders during maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with WSH regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
• Perform other duties assigned by Site Manager or Supervisor.

Job description

• Lead and supervise maintenance activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical installations.
• Attend to fault reports, service requests, and emergency situations, providing timely frontline response and troubleshooting.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules and operational requirements.
• Carry out electrical switching operations and ensure compliance with statutory and site requirements.
• Issue Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Clearance Certificates where required and ensure work is carried out safely.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders during maintenance and operational activities.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Site Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements

• Higher Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Possess a valid EMA issued LEW Grade 7 license .
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, power systems, facilities management, or electrical engineering projects.
• Good knowledge of electrical distribution systems, power engineering, and electrical safety practices.
• Experience in supervising maintenance teams and coordinating site operations will be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to participate in standby duties and attend to emergency callouts when required.
