Job summary

Rotating Offshore Solutions Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Electrical/Instrument Design Engineer to lead detailed design, P&ID development and tender support for oil & gas or power plant projects.

You will review drawings, perform calculations, coordinate with clients and suppliers, and provide technical support on site and in the office. A degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Construction Management and/or Design of Electrical Systems.
• Proficient in design and drafting of LV and HV systems.
• Familiar with Electrical Installation works and local electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical/instrumentation detailed design and preparation of drawings.
• Interpret and develop P&ID, technical data sheets, and I/O wiring diagrams; design electrical systems.
• Perform electrical/instrumentation calculations for the design.
• Review electrical/instrumentation documents and specifications from clients and consultants.
• Check and review all electrical/instrumentation drawings and documents from suppliers and vendors.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors to resolve technical issues at site and in office.
• Coordinate with engineers of other disciplines within the department.
• Prepare pre-procurement including evaluating technical and commercial bids from vendors and suppliers.
• Provide engineering support in tendering of new projects and for ongoing projects.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Familiar with Electrical Installation works and local electrical codes and standards.
• Knowledge of SCADA, PLC and other instrumentation systems will be an advantage
• Experience in Oil and Gas or Power Plant projects specializing in Engineering- Electrical / Instrument work.
