Job summary

ROTATING OFFSHORE SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to lead detailed design and drafting of LV/HV systems.

You will interpret P&ID drawings, perform technical calculations, and review vendor documents. You will liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues on site and in the office. The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of five years’ Construction Management or Design experience in Oil & Gas

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Construction Management and/or Design of Electrical Systems.
• Proficient in design and drafting of LV and HV systems.
• Familiar with Electrical Installation works and local electrical codes and standards.
• Knowledge of SCADA, PLC and other instrumentation systems advantageous.
• Experience in Oil and Gas or Power Plant projects focusing on Electrical/Instrumentation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical/instrumentation detailed design and preparation of drawings.
• Interpret and develop P&ID, technical data sheets, I/O wiring diagrams and electrical system designs.
• Perform electrical/instrumentation calculations for design work.
• Review electrical/instrumentation documents and client/consultant specifications.
• Review drawings/docs from suppliers and vendors for electrical/instrumentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical issues on site and in the office.
• Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines within the department.
• Prepare pre-procurement including evaluation of technical and commercial bids.
• Support tendering of new projects with preliminary design, material and cost estimates.
• Provide technical support to project teams and resolve site issues.
