Job summary

AEM Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and validate electrical systems for industrial equipment in a Singapore-based role. You will prepare schematics, wiring diagrams, and control architectures while selecting PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, sensors, motors, and safety devices.

You will ensure conformity with CE/UL/IEC standards and lead troubleshooting during FAT/SAT and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5–10 years of experience.
• Experience with custom automation equipment or capital equipment.
• Proven experience leading engineering projects.
• Customer-facing experience in technical sales support or solution engineering.
• Experience supporting equipment upgrades and modernization projects.
• Proficient in CAD Drawings, Solidworks Electrical is highly preferred.
• Optimize electrical designs for cost and manufacturability.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, presentation skills and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate electrical systems for industrial equipment.
• Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and control system architecture.
• Select appropriate electrical components, including PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, sensors, motors, safety devices, and industrial communication networks.
• Ensure designs comply with CE, UL, IEC safety standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop engineering solutions for equipment issues.
• Lead electrical troubleshooting during FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
• Engage directly with customers to understand production challenges and operational requirements.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions to improve performance, reliability, and safety.
• Present technical proposals, upgrade concepts, and roadmaps to customers.
• Recommend retrofit solutions and modernization strategies for existing equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product competitiveness.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
