Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking a Test Station Strategy Engineer to drive the test solution strategy for NPI and production programs across OSI Optoelectronics.

You will design fixtures, validate testers, and standardize processes to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes. You will analyze test data, perform FA/RCA, and collaborate with fixture vendors, engineering, and manufacturing teams to improve test coverage and reduce false failures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, test engineering, or product engineering.
  • Knowledge of ICT, FCT, Boundary Scan, Programming Systems, and Production Test Methodologies.
  • Experience with test instruments such as DMM, Oscilloscope, DAQ, Power Supply, RF Test Equipment, Spectrum Analyzer, and Network Analyzer.
  • Knowledge of test station development, fixture design, and tester validation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and review production test fixtures, jigs, interfaces, and test solutions.
  • Work with fixture vendors and internal teams on fixture fabrication, qualification, and release.
  • Develop, maintain, validate, and troubleshoot production test stations and test equipment.
  • Support NPI builds, pilot runs, and mass production test activities.
  • Analyze test failures, perform failure analysis (FA), and drive root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Analyze production test data, yield performance, and failure trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct GR&R, CPK, tester correlation, and measurement system validation studies.
  • Perform tester validation, golden unit verification, and test limit validation before production release.
  • Review test coverage and ensure compliance with customer and product test requirements.
  • Support DFT reviews, MTI development, and test strategy implementation.
  • Validate test software, hardware, fixture, and process changes prior to release.
  • Prepare and maintain test specifications, validation reports, SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical support for production test issues and recommend improvements to reduce false failures and improve detection capability.

Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and executing the test station strategy for NPI and production programs, ensuring on-time delivery of test solutions, test readiness before pilot builds, optimization of test coverage and cost, successful tester validation and correlation, standardization across sites, high test equipment uptime, and continuous improvement of test capability, reliability, efficiency, and manufacturing support.

Qualifications

  • Programming experience in C#, LabVIEW, Python, VB.NET, TestStand, or equivalent platforms.

  • Understanding of statistical analysis techniques including GR&R, CPK, MSA, and yield analysis.

  • Strong electronics troubleshooting, debugging, and failure analysis skills.

  • Familiarity with schematic reading, PCB assembly, and manufacturing processes.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Willing to support production, NPI builds, customer audits, and cross-functional engineering activities.
